Senior Backend Engineer (Payments and POS Integrations)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Payments and POS (Point of Sale) Integrations to join our dynamic development team. • Design robust APIs and web services utilizing RESTful principles to enable secure and efficient communication between various payment platforms and internal systems.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate UI components with backend services using React, Angular, or similar frameworks, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices architectures leveraging cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement system design best practices including UML modeling, distributed system architecture, and multithreading techniques to optimize performance under load.
• Conduct thorough debugging, unit testing, and code reviews using tools like Visual Studio, GitHub, TFS, or SVN to uphold code quality standards.
• Participate actively in Agile software development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for rapid delivery.

• Proven experience developing backend systems with a focus on payments or POS integrations using technologies such as.NET (C#), Java, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of web development concepts including RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formats, and application security protocols.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL; familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is a plus.
• Proficiency in system design for scalable distributed systems utilizing microservices architecture and cloud services like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of front-end development frameworks such as React or Angular is advantageous for cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with version control tools including GitHub, TFS, SVN; experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues efficiently while maintaining high-quality code standards.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly within an Agile environment; experience with UML modeling is preferred.
