IT & Telecom Technician Travel

We are seeking a highly skilled IT & Telecom Technician with extensive travel experience to join our dynamic team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications and IT systems across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency in network infrastructure, telecommunications systems, and electrical systems, ensuring seamless communication services and network operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, enhance technical expertise, and contribute to the reliable operation of critical communication infrastructure worldwide., * Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication systems including VoIP, PBX, and traditional telephony equipment.

• Conduct fiber optic splicing and install fiber optic systems to ensure high-speed data transmission.
• Perform network wiring, structured cabling installation (including Cat5, Cat6), and equipment termination in accordance with schematics and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair network hardware such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Ethernet switches using diagnostic tools.
• Test telecommunications systems using specialized testing equipment to verify performance and identify faults.
• Conduct radio frequency (RF) testing for wireless communication systems and ensure optimal signal quality.
• Perform electrical work involving low-voltage wiring, AC/DC electrical systems, and NEC-compliant electrical installations.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for equipment installation, cable management, and maintenance tasks.
• Provide on-site field service support for clients by diagnosing issues related to computer networking, telecommunication systems, or hardware failures.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, schematics, and service reports for ongoing support and future reference.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional customer service throughout all project phases.

• Proven experience in field service roles within IT or telecommunications environments.
• Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, Ethernet protocols, and network wiring standards.
• Expertise in fiber splicing techniques and fiber optic system installation.
• Familiarity with telecommunications testing equipment such as OTDRs (Optical Time Domain Reflectometers) and multimeters like ohmmeters.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya systems, and VoIP solutions.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
• Skilled in cable termination techniques for Cat5e/Cat6 cables using crimping tools.
• Electrical experience with low-voltage wiring installations following NEC guidelines.
• Proficiency in diagnosing issues using diagnostic tools across various telecommunication platforms.
• Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) testing methods for wireless communication systems.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients.
• Experience working in data centers or large-scale network environments is a plus.
