Field Service Technician (Onsite IT Support)

Barrister Global Services is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to provide onsite IT support and hardware maintenance for our client in Mason City, IA. This position is ideal for a self-motivated technician with strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and basic networking.

Responsibilities.

• Provide onsite deskside support for end users.
• Diagnose and repair desktop, laptop, printer, and basic server hardware issues.
• Install, replace, upgrade, and maintain IT equipment.
• Perform IMAC services (Install, Move, Add, and Change).
• Support Windows and basic Mac operating systems.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft applications and common business software.
• Perform basic network connectivity and workstation troubleshooting.
• Document all work performed and follow established service procedures.
• Deliver professional customer service while working independently.

• Minimum 1-2 years of desktop support, field service, or IT support experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop and laptop hardware.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11; basic macOS experience preferred.
• Experience supporting printers and basic server hardware.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and TCP/IP.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision., * High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CompTIA A+ certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment. Team assistance is available for equipment weighing over 50 lbs.
