Job description

We’re looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join Gravity Media’s team at Riot Games’ Remote Broadcast Center in the Greater Seattle Area.

In this role, you’ll be part of the Esports Event Technology (EET) Team - a self-directed, cross-functional group of highly skilled engineers focused on building, supporting, and maintaining the infrastructure, tooling, and applications that power Riot’s esports events worldwide. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow Systems Engineers to ensure Riot’s infrastructure can reliably support all esports initiatives at scale.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Support and evolve global esports infrastructure across multiple regions
  • Collaborate across engineering and technical operations teams
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks using tools such as Ansible and endpoint platforms (Intune, NinjaOne)
  • Build and maintain automation workflows using Jenkins
  • Support and operate virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox, VMware, KVM)
  • Manage and extend NetBox as a source of truth for infrastructure
  • Contribute to observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and endpoint issues
  • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational standards
  • Enable self-service workflows to reduce manual operational effort

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years in Systems, Infrastructure, or Support Engineering roles
  • Experience with configuration management (e.g., Ansible)
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins for automation or CI/CD
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., Proxmox, VMware, KVM)
  • Experience working with Linux and Windows systems
  • Experience with containerized workloads (e.g., Docker)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience building or operating global infrastructure at scale
  • Experience with NetBox or similar IPAM/CMDB tools
  • Experience using Git for version control
  • Experience with endpoint management platforms (Intune, NinjaOne, SCCM, Autopilot, Deep Freeze)
  • Experience building self-service platforms for internal users or vendors
  • Exposure to monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience with and access systems (e.g., SSO, Okta)
  • Experience with imaging and deployment tools (e.g., FOG)
