Job description
We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Digital Forensics Consultant to support digital evidence preservation, collection, and forensic analysis for complex civil and criminal litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career forensic professional or someone transitioning from litigation support, cybersecurity, IT, or legal technology into digital forensics.
Working alongside experienced forensic consultants and expert witnesses, you will gain hands-on experience with forensic collections, evidence analysis, report preparation, and litigation support while developing the technical and consulting skills needed to advance your career., * Assist with and perform forensically sound collections of computers, mobile devices, servers, cloud platforms, and electronic accounts, both remotely and onsite.
- Prepare, maintain, and audit chain-of-custody documentation while ensuring proper evidence handling and preservation.
- Process and analyze digital evidence under the guidance of senior consultants, including keyword searching, artifact analysis, data parsing, timeline development, and deleted data recovery.
- Assist in preparing forensic reports, declarations, and supporting documentation by translating technical findings into clear, concise language.
- Maintain forensic equipment, software, and secure evidence storage procedures.
- Track billable time, maintain detailed case documentation, and ensure accurate project records.
- Support attorneys and senior consultants throughout investigations, depositions, and litigation matters as needed.
Requirements
Required
- 0-3 years of experience in digital forensics, litigation support, cybersecurity, IT, eDiscovery, or a related technical field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated interest in digital investigations, forensic technology, and electronic evidence.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Electronic Stored Information (ESI), litigation holds, or Relativity.
- Exposure to digital forensic tools, imaging software, or evidence collection technologies.
- Technical background in scripting, PowerShell, SQL, command-line tools, or general IT administration.
- Coursework or industry certifications in digital forensics, cybersecurity, or information security, or a demonstrated commitment to pursuing certifications such as EnCE, CCE, GCFA, GCFE, or CFCE.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and cloud computing environments.

Please note: Litigation consulting often requires flexibility, including occasional evening or weekend work and short-notice travel to support client matters and court deadlines.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
