Job description
As a Data Scientist, you will work for customers and internal research departments on complex and innovative projects about genAI, NLP, demand forecasting, predictive maintenance, computer vision, and lots more, in various fields and sectors.
You will focus on solving complex problems: translating requirements into actionable rules and
deliverables.
You will be responsible for:
- Analyzing business needs and proposing the most effective technical approach, choosing between classical AI, GenAI, or hybrid solutions.
- Designing the end-to-end AI solution, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Designing and implementing solutions based on Machine Learning and advanced statistical methods, as well as GenAI architectures (RAG, agents, LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, fine-tuning when needed).
- Assessing when to rely on an LLM/GenAI solution versus a classical ML approach, based on robustness, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Validating developed models with a focus on explainability, generalization, robustness, and production behavior (including GenAI-specific risks such as hallucinations, bias, and inference costs).
- Preparing and presenting technical and non-technical reports, adapting the storytelling to the audience’s level.
- Staying up to date on developments in Data Science, ML, and GenAI, proposing new ideas and participating in pre-sales activities.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions.
- Hands-on experience applying advanced analytics/ML techniques to real business cases, with a proven ability to synthesize complex data and present results.
- Practical experience with advanced analytics/ML techniques and GenAI solutions applied to real business cases .
- Strong proficiency in Python and core AI frameworks/libraries.

Compensation & Benefits: In line with our commitment to transparency and people development, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this position ranges between €31,000 and €44,000, commensurate with experience and skills. The position is covered by the ‘CCNL Commercio e Terziario’ (National Collective Labor Agreement for Commerce and Service Sector), alongside a benefits package that includes meal vouchers, wellbeing initiatives (including Wellhub), and growth opportunities.
