Head of Base Chemicals Solution Europe (BCS4)

Within our Business Unit Chemicals, the Base Chemical Solutions Europe division is responsible for managing and developing key base chemicals portfolios across the European market.

As Head of Base Chemicals Solution Europe (BCS4) (m/f/d), you take full P&L responsibility for the European portfolio of liquid base chemicals, currently including Acetone, Linear Alkylbenzene, Monopropylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Methyl Methacrylate, Phenol, and Maleic Anhydride.

In this role, you report directly to the Director Base Chemical Solutions Europe and lead a team of (Senior) Product Managers.

In this strategic leadership position, you contribute your entrepreneurial mindset to the following areas:

Your Responsibilities:

• In your role, you support your team in developing individual product strategies and ensure their alignment with the overall Base Chemical Solutions Europe strategy.
• In addition, you take ownership of the strategic planning process for your portfolio, including budgeting and forecasting activities.
• As a leader, you continuously develop your team and build a high-performing and committed product management organization.
• Regular performance reviews and feedback discussions help you foster individual development and derive tailored growth plans.
• Business management and analytics are part of your responsibilities, where you promote a mindset of continuous profitability improvement and long-term business growth.
• Furthermore, you drive the development and implementation of steering tools (e.g. KPIs and OKR initiatives) to ensure strategic alignment.
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance ensures smooth operations and excellent execution.
• Identifying new business opportunities and further developing partnerships along the value chain complete your area of responsibility.

Do you have experience in Product management?, * You hold a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a comparable field.

• Several years of relevant professional experience (approx. 5-8 years), ideally in product management within the chemical industry, characterize your background.
• A strong strategic mindset and the ability to translate complex topics into clear messages set you apart.
• International exposure and intercultural competence enable you to succeed in a global environment.
• You approach challenges with a solution-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating resilience and pragmatism.
• You are familiar with common IT tools such as SAP, Salesforce, and MS Office, supporting your day-to-day work.
• As a leader, you excel at building and developing motivated, high-performing teams.
• Fluent German and English language skills complete your profile.
