Web Developer 3

This role joins Microsoft’s Causal Games Team, the creators behind iconic titles like Solitaire. The team is currently building a brand-new platform around causal games and needs an experienced front-end developer to help support the existing stack and replace lost FTE capacity. The focus will be on delivering high-quality web game experiences by implementing small features and resolving basic web items. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend daily standups to discuss blockers and team project direction.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Design to deliver high-quality features.
• Translate Figma designs and interaction specs into tested, accessible, and production-ready UI components.
• Enhance, extend, and refine existing design systems and framework code with pixel precision.
• Troubleshoot, profile, and fix defects while ensuring implementations meet quality and performance standards.
• Participate in code reviews and utilize project management tools to plan, track, and communicate progress.

• Pixel Perfect UI implementation (5-7+ years)
• Quality and Testing experience (5-7+ years)
• Experience with TypeScript and Canvas (5-7+ years)

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

• React / Solid.js framework experience
• Web accessibility (WCAG 2.x AA compliance), The ideal candidate is a self-directed, detail-oriented front-end engineer with 5 7 years of experience who thrives in a small, fast-moving, and low-bureaucracy team environment. They possess a passion for clean code, extensive experience converting designs into pixel-perfect interactive UI, and strong problem-solving skills. A background or interest in web game development concepts is a significant plus.
