Security Engineer

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security controls across cloud, email, and data protection environments.
• Operate as a self-directed security engineer with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Develop and maintain custom detection, monitoring, and protection rules to support security, business, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify security risks and vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Lead or contribute to the deployment, management, and optimization of security technologies and services.
• Administer and secure enterprise email environments, including Google Workspace/Gmail and Secure Email Gateway (SEG) solutions, to protect against phishing, malware, and data exfiltration.
• Manage and enhance AWS security controls, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, logging, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Support data protection operations, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and remediation activities.
• Drive enterprise data classification and labeling initiatives and integrate classifications with DLP technologies.
• Develop, manage, and tune DLP policies across multiple channels and platforms.
• Support compliance, audit, and risk management initiatives through documentation, assessment support, and control validation.
• Ensure consistent configuration, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of security tools and platforms.

We are seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls that protect enterprise systems and sensitive data from unauthorized access, modification, and loss. This role requires expertise in cybersecurity, cloud security, email security, and data protection operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment., * 6+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity Engineering, or Cyber Operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Experience implementing enterprise security controls across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Email security technologies, including Google Workspace/Gmail, Secure Email Gateways, SMTP, and Microsoft Exchange.
• AWS security services, including IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and configuration management.
• Data protection technologies, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, and data labeling solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide data classification and labeling programs.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Security engineering principles and best practices
• Network and system security controls
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Security frameworks, protocols, and standards, * Experience securing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
• Experience with Secure Email Gateway solutions such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, or Barracuda.
• Experience with cloud email security platforms such as Abnormal Security, Sublime Security, or Avanan.
• Experience supporting Mac and Windows endpoint security environments.
• Exposure to AI Security and emerging security technologies.
