Requirements

Sr SQL Database Administrator whose primary responsibility will be troubleshooting issues/outages, incident response and ticket management experience. Looking for someone who can hit the ground running to support the team/databases. Ideally, we would like someone with a infrastructure DBA background who has experience configuring and building out systems. This is a critical role within the Enterprise Database (DB) team providing all aspects of database administration across multiply database vendor, in particular, MSSQL Server. The candidate is expected to perform administration, troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation, and operations functions for mission critical components for a federal government agency. An ideal candidate will be able to understand advanced technology concepts at a detailed level, ask the right questions, and work well with vendors, SME’s, engineers, management, and customers. Excellent communication skills are important including an ability to explain complex concepts to all levels of system users and management., 10 years of DBA experience with vendors such as Oracle, MSSQL Server, Sybase ASE, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Mongo DB.

  • Solid experience with UNIX (Solaris)/Linux (RHEL) and Windows Operating Systems (OS) environments.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, SCOM, Ansible, PowerShell, and Shell Scripting a plus.
  • Cross-platform migration experience a plus., Bachelor’s degree in computer related studies or equivalent technical field. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted instead of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Oracle and/or MSSQL or other relevant certifications desired. US Citizenship Active/Current DoD Secret clearance IAT-2 relevant certifications (Security+).
