Job description

McLane is seeking an MDM Integration Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable integration solutions that enable the flow of critical master data across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and business systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrations that support McLane’s MDM platform while leveraging modern cloud technologies, API management, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with data engineering, application development, architecture, and business teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable integration solutions across the enterprise., * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration solutions supporting McLane’s Master Data Management (MDM) platform.

  • Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and cloud-native development practices.
  • Develop event-driven architectures utilizing GCP services including Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Design and implement API management solutions using APIGEE.
  • Integrate enterprise applications and data platforms using Google Cloud services.
  • Develop scalable integrations between MDM, ERP, operational systems, analytics platforms, and downstream applications.
  • Create and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define integration requirements and data exchange patterns.
  • Implement security, authentication, authorization, and API governance standards.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot integration, performance, and data quality issues across cloud environments.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor and optimize integration performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in integration engineering, software engineering, or application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and Java-based backend applications.
  • Experience building microservices architectures in cloud environments.
  • Experience designing and implementing event-driven solutions.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Understanding of API security, OAuth, JWT, and authentication frameworks.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
