Job description

At Roche Information Solutions (RIS), we believe that every line of code can improve a patient’s life. Within our Patient Software Insights group, we build a diverse portfolio of digital solutions-from web apps to desktop tools-that help healthcare providers and patients stay one step ahead of disease. We don’t just “deploy”; we deliver trust. As a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer, you will be the guardian of our delivery lifecycle, ensuring that our life-saving software reaches those who need it with the highest quality and security. The Opportunity: Where Engineering meets Purpose Developing software is great, but developing software with a purpose is life-changing. You will join a cross-functional squad of brilliant engineers, designers, and product owners to:

  • Master the Pipeline: Architect and oversee complex CI/CD ecosystems for Backend, Web, API, and Desktop environments (Windows/MacOS).
  • Define the Standard: Establish best-in-class code branching and review processes that empower our dev teams.
  • Automation at Scale: Use your Python mastery to eliminate manual bottlenecks and create self-healing deployment flows.
  • Security & Resilience: Integrate cutting-edge SAST/DAST tools (SonarQube, Mayhem) to ensure our medical software is impenetrable.
  • Lead by Example: Mentor fellow engineers and act as a technical lighthouse within the organization. Who You Are: The Architect of Flow You are a seasoned engineer who sees the “big picture.” You are passionate about clean code, robust infrastructure, and, above all, the people you work with.

Requirements

  • Proven Track Record: 7+ years of hands-on experience in high-level CI/CD automation across diverse platforms (Web, API, Lambdas, Desktop).
  • The CI/CD Trio: Deep expertise in GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
  • Containerization & Repos: Master of Docker/Containerd and artifact management (Nexus/Artifactory).
  • The Language of Automation: Proficiency in Python (or a similar high-level language).
  • Security-Minded: Experience weaving security tools (Trivy, SonarQube) into the fabric of the development process.
  • Soft Skills: A collaborative spirit, a desire to mentor, and excellent English communication skills. You’ll stand out if you bring: Familiarity with AWS, experience with testing frameworks (Appium, Selenium, JUnit), or a background in SaaS/E-commerce.

About the company

  • Work with Purpose: Direct contact with our users to understand how your work helps people living with diabetes and other conditions.
  • Innovation Culture: We welcome “technical evangelists.” If you want to speak at a conference or write a blog, we’ll support you 100%.
  • State-of-the-Art Tech: From native development to Infrastructure-as-Code in the cloud.
  • Premium Benefits: Brand new Apple hardware, professional training budget, fitness and lunch benefits, public transport support, and language classes.
  • A Hub of Talent: Join a diverse, agile environment in Sant Cugat where knowledge sharing is part of our DNA. Who we are A healthier future drives us to innovate. Together, more than 100’000 employees across the globe are dedicated to advance science, ensuring everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Our efforts result in more than 26 million people treated with our medicines and over 30 billion tests conducted using our Diagnostics products. We empower each other to explore new possibilities, foster creativity, and keep our ambitions high, so we can deliver life-changing healthcare solutions that make a global impact. Let’s build a healthier future, together. Roche is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Inscribirse en esta oferta
