All the departments are working in a DevOps manner, where Scrum/Agile method and Continuous Delivery practices are very important. As a DevEngineer you’ll be responsible for design, build, test and the deployment of new features.

Department You will be working in the Tribe Betalen for Cards. We make and maintain all the IT systems for our Debit and Credit Cards. Our systems handle the transaction flow for 60 of the total Dutch payment traffic. We support international payment methods e.g. Mastercard, credit and debit, while enabling all our customers to pay with virtual cards on their phone.

Requirements

You are a driven IT specialist with excellent analytical, technical and programming skills.

You are a great Dev Engineer and have a minimum 5 years’ experience in developing software with Java. You are substantively strong and you aim to achieve the best in your work by getting concrete results. You understand better than anyone what the needs and wishes of your (internal) customers in the field of IT are and moreover you are a true team player. You are also able to coach colleagues and give them constructive feedback. You have a quality oriented mindset, always looking for the best possible solution and to improve as a team and as an individual.

Stack and tooling In our stack we use Angular JS, Polymer, REST API’s, Tomcat and a bunch of other technologies. Our supporting technologies include Protractor, Jenkins, Maven, Nolio, TFS, Ansible, Graphite and the ELK stack. Although we would like that you have a working knowledge of everything we use, we find it important that we know you are flexible and keen on learning new stuff.

Must have: Bachelor ( BSc ) degree in Computer Science / Information Technology Engineering is a must. Experience with Java (REST API’s / SOAP services), Maven and Spring (Boot) Experience with E2E testing Experience with Performance testing Experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g. Polymer, Angular) Experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Nolio, SonarQube, TFS, Artifactory) Experience with the Agile/Scrum way of working Excellent spoken and written command of English language is a must. Dutch is a plus. Driven to automate and improve team work (in terms of processes, speed and quality of the deliverables) Experience with integration of middleware (Tibco/MQ) Nice to have

Preferably:

Basic (Linux) operations and automation skills Advanced skills that help us improve our CI/CD pipeline (e.g. using Docker) Experience with DevOps (monitoring production, Grafana, Kibana) Experience in a corporate environment
