Enterprise Modeling Engineering Specialist

• Leveraging modern tech stackand enforcing best practices in modern software development and maintainability

• Assistingin convertingprogrammatic requirements into actionable work

• Work closely with our cross-missionfocused program offices and customers to translate their program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks.

• Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers.

• Traveloccasionally as required .

• Bachelor’sor advanced degree from an accredited program in computer science,electrical engineering, optical engineering,physics,mathematics,or related field

• Threeor more years of experience inmodernsoftwaredevelopmentusing a systems software language

• Proficiency inC++, preferably in C++20

• Comfortable working with and following a large code base in C++

• Experience with Python

• Experience in modeling and simulation

• Experience in at least one of the following:optics, beam control,filtering, multi-in tracking,tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, SIGINT system modeling, kill chain analysis, orbit determination

• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks

• Familiar with software development cycles and working with repos (git, bitbucket, etc.)

• Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• A bias for action and the ability to identify shortcomings and addressthem with initiative

• This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

It would be impressive if youhaveone or more of these:

• A Masters degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.

• Proficiency with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).

• Demonstrated strength in sensor-and architecture-levelsimulationsandmission performance assessments.

• Experience with software integration of multiple code bases and tools

• Knowledge of Intelligence Community, U.S. Department of Defense, and Department of the Air Force business practices and programs.

• Current Top Secret/SCIClearancewithpolygraph, and special programs access.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

The Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision leads integration and application of modeling and simulation capabilities and modern analysis workflows to support end-to-end effects chain analysis and space and space-enabled campaign modeling.As a member ofCMED, you will provide technical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments. MS&A focus areas include agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, military utility and capability drawdown, killchain effectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation.
