HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST

• Designs, develops and implements a corporate database, maintaining a standard data dictionary consistent with Army Information Management Center conventions.
• Advises and assists credentials managers and supervisors throughout the entire Medical Force on all issues related to the electronic credential file.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates administrative and organizational aspects of the activity.

• Serves as the technical/clinical expert for provider adverse action and adverse event management for Health Risk Management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following:

• Missions, organizations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems.
• Regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups.
• Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel, and procurement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
