Job description

Innovative Wireless Technologies (IWT) is seeking an experienced Senior Digital Technical Lead to provide technical leadership for next-generation Analytics platform. This individual will lead the technical execution of our digital initiatives, working closely with Product Management to translate customer needs into scalable, enterprise-grade software solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong software architecture, technical leadership, and business acumen with the ability to mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional development efforts, and drive execution across modern cloud-based analytics platforms. This role requires sound engineering judgment, balancing customer needs, business priorities, AI innovation, technical excellence, cost, schedule, cybersecurity, and long-term platform sustainability to deliver enterprise-quality software., * Serve as the technical authority for the APM Analytics platform, defining the technical vision and roadmap in partnership with Product Management.

  • Partner closely with Product Management to translate customer and market requirements into technical architecture, product capabilities, engineering priorities, and release plans.

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, cloud-native software solutions.
  • Make sound technical trade-off decisions by balancing functionality, scalability, security, performance, maintainability, cost, schedule, and long-term product strategy.

  • Evaluate architectural alternatives and drive decisions on technology selection, build-versusbuy, cloud services, AI adoption, and third-party integrations.

  • Coordinate, prioritize, and assign work across software engineers while mentoring the team through architecture reviews, code reviews, technical coaching, and engineering best practices.

  • Drive software architecture involving cloud services, APIs, databases, microservices, eventdriven systems, AI/ML integration, and enterprise data platforms.

  • Collaborate with systems, embedded software, hardware, and application software teams to integrate real-time operational data from connected devices into enterprise software platforms.

  • Lead technical discussions with customers and strategic partners, translating operational challenges into innovative digital solutions.

  • Ensure technical decisions align with customer value, business objectives, product strategy, and long-term platform success., * Champion modern AI-assisted software development practices while establishing engineering guardrails, coding standards, and review processes that ensure enterprise-quality, secure, and maintainable software.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and AI development tools to improve engineering productivity while ensuring all software is validated through sound engineering practices, testing, and peer review.

  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence through technical curiosity, continuous learning, thoughtful design reviews, knowledge sharing, and AI-enabled productivity.

  • Support Agile planning, technical estimation, risk assessment, release planning, and continuous improvement initiatives., * Predictive analytics, machine learning, computer vision, digital twins, or operational intelligence systems.

  • Industrial automation, mining, manufacturing, energy, or other operational technology (OT) environments.

  • OPC UA, MQTT, SCADA, historian systems, or industrial data integration.
  • DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployment technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership of enterprise software projects.

  • Demonstrated experience leading software engineering teams and coordinating technical execution across multiple concurrent projects.

  • Proven ability to make sound engineering decisions involving architecture, technology selection, cost, schedule, risk, quality, and long-term maintainability.

  • Strong experience designing enterprise software platforms using modern software architecture principles.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and scalable data platforms.

  • Experience with modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React.
  • Experience developing backend software using technologies such as .NET, Java, Python, or Node.js.

  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise software platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted software development tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Cursor, or similar) while maintaining strong engineering discipline, architectural governance, and software quality.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Product Management, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Experience

  • Industrial automation, mining, manufacturing, energy, or other industrial software and connected device environments.
