Requirements

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required -Minimum of five (5) years of industry experience, or combination of industry, education, and teaching experience required. -Teaching experience preferred -Must meet all qualifications for the appropriate license through the Illinois State Board of Education. Valid Professional Educator License that is current and registered in DuPage County with endorsement in Information Technology or Business, Marketing and Computer Education-Business Computer Programming. (Candidates with valid ISBE teaching licenses must also have at least two years of directly related work experience). or Meet ISBE Requirements for either a Career and Technical Education License or a Provisional Career and Technical Education License:

Requirements for the Career and Technical Education License:

  • Official transcripts, in unopened, sealed envelopes, showing 60 semester hours of credit from a recognized educational institution.
  • Documented evidence of 2,000 hours of work experience in the skill area.

Requirements for the Provisional Career and Technical Education License:

  • Documented evidence of 8,000 hours of work experience in the specific skill area to be taught.
