Job description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and enhancement of an enterprise authorization platform built on OpenFGA. This role will focus on developing core functionality for a Java-based wrapper service, implementing scalable APIs, and contributing to the overall design and integration of authorization solutions across enterprise applications., Design, develop, and maintain features for a Java-based authorization service built around OpenFGA. Implement REST API endpoints and supporting business logic to meet application and integration requirements. Develop and enhance OpenFGA data model management capabilities. Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, and stakeholders to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards and development best practices. Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated validation processes. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with technical documentation, implementation guides, and code examples. Support onboarding and application integration teams by providing technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements and software delivery automation efforts. Work closely with cloud, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure reliable and secure deployments. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong Java development experience, hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot and RESTful API development, and a passion for building secure, high-quality software in a collaborative Agile environment., Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java. Experience building applications utilizing Spring Boot and related Java frameworks. Background designing, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs. Experience working with API integrations and service-oriented architectures. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Agile development practices. Experience developing and executing unit tests and integration tests. Familiarity with source code management tools and collaborative development workflows. Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. Experience troubleshooting and resolving software defects in development and production environments. Proficiency with core AWS services and cloud-based application deployments. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented development environment., Experience working with OpenFGA or authorization and access control platforms. Knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts including OAuth, OIDC, RBAC, or ABAC. Experience with microservices-based application architectures. Exposure to containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices. Experience supporting enterprise application integrations. Knowledge of cloud-native application development principles. Experience contributing to API security and secure software development initiatives.
