Senior Software Engineer

What you will be doing

• You’ll own our AI engineering practice, setting the technical direction for how we design, build, and operate Agentic AI systems across the platform.
• You’ll research, evaluate, and implement emerging best practices in agentic architectures, model integration, prompt and context engineering, evaluation, and LLM application development, then translate them into production standards for the team.
• You’ll contribute and oversee production code directly, architecting core systems, writing critical paths yourself, and setting the standard for quality through the code you ship and the code you review.
• You’ll brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers and Frontend Engineers to conceptualize and build new features for our growing user base.
• You’ll produce high-quality results by leading or contributing heavily to large cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on the business.
• You’ll actively own features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems.
• You’ll build the evaluation, observability, and reliability tooling that keeps our AI systems accurate, safe, and performant in production.
• You’ll assist our skilled support team and operations team in triaging and resolving production issues.
• You’ll improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

• You’ve been building web applications professionally for 4+ years.
• You have hands-on experience building production systems with LLMs or agentic AI, including model integration, evaluation, and the practices that keep those systems reliable at scale.
• You track the state of the art in AI engineering and can judge which emerging techniques are ready for production and which are not.
• You can lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions within your team.
• You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability.
• You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you.
• You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
• You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
