Job description

We are seeking a Junior SQL Developer to join our team on a 3-month W2 contract-to-hire basis. This is a fully remote opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in SQL development and ETL who is looking to grow their skills while working on data integration and database solutions in a collaborative environment., * Develop, write, test, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and other database objects.

  • Build, support, and troubleshoot ETL processes using SSIS or similar ETL tools.
  • Analyze and transform data from multiple sources to support business and reporting needs.
  • Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
  • Validate data and ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the ETL process.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business users to gather requirements and implement data solutions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting database issues and resolving production support requests.
  • Document database processes, ETL workflows, and technical solutions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on SQL development experience.
  • Strong experience writing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, joins, and subqueries.
  • Experience developing or supporting ETL processes using SSIS or similar ETL tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Understanding of relational database design and data integration concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or SSRS.
  • Exposure to source control tools such as Git or Azure DevOps.
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience working with APIs or importing/exporting data using CSV, XML, or JSON files.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies., * Bachelor’s (Preferred), * SQL/T-SQL: 2 years (Required)
  • ETL: 2 years (Required)
  • SSIS: 2 years (Required)
  • Power BI: 2 years (Preferred)
