Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Reliability Engineer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in South Wales. As part of a successful engineering team, you will play a key role in improving asset reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing site.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer or Maintenance Engineer looking to move into a reliability-focused role within a business that actively invests in its people, engineering function, and long-term career development.

You will be responsible for leading reliability initiatives, supporting engineering best practice, implementing preventative maintenance strategies, and working closely with production and engineering teams to improve plant performance and equipment availability.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Reliability Engineer or Maintenance Engineer position in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), preventative maintenance, and asset reliability.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement within a production environment.

Requirements for the Reliability Engineer

  • Manufacturing or FMCG engineering experience.
  • Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled).
  • Experience with TPM, Asset Care, or reliability improvement programmes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and support engineering improvement projects.

Desirable Requirements for the Reliability Engineer

  • Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
  • Experience using Power BI or other engineering reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of automation and capital improvement projects.
  • Degree or higher-level engineering qualification.
