Job description

The IT Programmer Analyst is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, as well as analyzing and optimizing existing systems and code. This position requires exceptional technical expertise, strong problem-solving capabilities, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure SAMBA’s IT infrastructure efficiently supports business operations., * Application Development & Maintenance: Design, code, test, and deploy software applications to meet business requirements. Maintain and enhance existing systems for performance and reliability.

  • System Analysis & Integration: Analyze current processes and recommend improvements. Support integration of healthcare EDI file structures and related systems.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts for automation using tools like VisualCron. Implement secure and efficient workflows for data processing and data requests.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT systems.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control systems?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages: SQL, Perl, Python, PowerShell.
  • Experience with relational databases (DB2, MS-SQL), and MS Office 365.
  • Familiarity with healthcare EDI file structures is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills required.
  • Knowledge of operating systems and secure coding practices required.
  • Knowledge of revision control systems such as GIT for version management and collaborative development.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Maintains high ethical standards and ensures adherence to compliance requirements and security guidelines.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, including critical thinking, technical proficiency, and a commitment to high-quality work.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; plus two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
