Android Engineer

Join us as an Android Engineer and help us build the mobile experience that 600,000+ European businesses rely on every day to manage their finances. You’ll own product-critical features end-to-end- from technical design to rollout-in a large, modular Kotlin codebase where craft and velocity both matter. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Frontend., * Own features end-to-end: take ownership from discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, and iteration on features that help businesses pay, get paid, and stay in control.

• Drive technical decisions in your squad: shape solutions with Product, Design, and Backend by clarifying tradeoffs across UX, performance, security, and time-to-market.
• Raise app reliability and maintainability: improve architecture, performance, and test strategy to scale the app without compromising stability.
• Tackle complex mobile challenges: contribute to real-time synchronization, resilience patterns, and smooth navigation in a modular codebase with ~1,000 modules.
• Grow the team’s Android craft: lead code reviews and technical discussions, share patterns, and mentor peers to raise the bar on quality and delivery., * Value upfront technical design, team reviews, and smart slicing-quality drives the velocity our customers need.
• Organise one team lead per project across stacks, giving teams a clear mission and full autonomy on how it operates.
• Lean toolbox, Kaizen and PDCA, lets you monitor and drive continuous improvement collaboratively with peers and manager.

Technical stack

• Kotlin-first and modern concurrency: 100% Kotlin codebase with Coroutines + Flow throughout.
• Architecture: MVVM + Clean Architecture with modular design (~1,000 modules).
• UI direction: new screens built with Jetpack Compose, with a large share of legacy views already migrated.
• CI/CD & quality: GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Firebase Test Lab, Sonar, Fastlane.
• Testing culture: 26k+ unit tests, 14k+ snapshot tests, 500+ UI tests., As an Android Engineer, you will join one of Qonto’s squad teams, each organised around a clear project mission, with one team lead and full ownership of a product scope. You’ll be part of a 140+ mobile engineering community within a 500+ Product Engineering department, working in focused teams of 5 to 10 people alongside Product, Design, and peers from Frontend and Backend.

• Strong Android native experience: shipped and maintained production features with Kotlin and comfortable owning technical decisions end-to-end.
• Quality-driven mindset: care about testing (unit, UI, snapshot), clean code, and pragmatic standards that keep teams moving fast.
• Problem-solving approach: thrive in ambiguity and turn complex constraints into simple, robust solutions.
• AI-native workflow: use AI coding tools daily to amplify output-not just experiment with them.
