Job description

Pono Aina Management LLC is currently seeking an ICT Transition and Support Specialist to join their team. This important role provides specialist Information and Communications Technology (ICT) support to the Australian Liaison Office (LO) embedded with NAVAIR at Patuxent River, Maryland. The position is responsible for maintaining reliable and secure IT infrastructure, supporting day-to-day technical operations, and managing ICT requirements during facility transitions or relocations. The successful candidate will ensure uninterrupted ICT services in a secure, high-tempo defense environment supporting the Royal Australian Air Force’s F/A-18F and EA-18G programs., * Provide day-to-day ICT support and troubleshooting for all LO personnel and systems

  • Maintain and support the office’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, printers, scanners, and connectivity
  • Coordinate and manage Internet services, telecommunications, and audio-visual requirements
  • Lead ICT aspects of facility relocations, office moves, and infrastructure transitions
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software in accordance with security policies
  • Manage ICT equipment inventory, asset tracking, and licensing compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for non-CIOG IT issues and escalate complex problems as required
  • Ensure all ICT activities comply with Australian Defense security standards and U.S. government regulations
  • Develop and maintain ICT procedures, documentation, and user guides
  • Support video conferencing, secure communications systems, and collaboration tools used by the LO

Requirements

  • U.S. or Australian Citizenship
  • Current or ability to obtain a U.S. SECRET clearance (or Australian AGSVA equivalent)
  • Relevant ICT qualifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience in IT/ICT support, preferably in a government or defense environment
  • Solid hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, networks, and end-user support

Important Requirements:

  • Experience supporting IT systems in classified or secure office environments
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting, printer/scanner configuration, and telecommunications systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environments and Office 365 tools
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Experience with office relocations and ICT transitions

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Requires the ability to walk short distances.
  • Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. the worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
