Job description

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize the Okta Identity Platform for enterprise-level operations.
  • Integrate enterprise applications with Okta using SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and OAuth 2.0 protocols.
  • Configure, monitor, and manage authorization servers, API access, application integrations, and group-based access controls.
  • Design, implement, and uphold authentication and authorization policies in a highly regulated environment.
  • Deploy and enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and adaptive authentication policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve authentication failures, Single Sign-On (SSO) issues, user provisioning challenges, and application integration concerns.
  • Support identity lifecycle management and ensure adherence to access governance best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures for the Okta environment.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver secure and scalable identity solutions.
  • Respond promptly to operational support requests and participate in incident response and resolution activities.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience administering Okta in a large-scale, enterprise environment.
  • Extensive expertise in identity and authentication protocols, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
  • Experience implementing, configuring, and administering Okta Workflows.
  • Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts, identity governance, and security best practices.
  • Proven ability to independently configure authentication and authorization policies, user access, and related security policies.
  • Demonstrated skill in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and supporting complex identity operations and enterprise integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially for addressing authentication and SSO issues.
  • Excellent written documentation, technical writing, and communication skills to relay complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Effective multitasking and organizational skills, demonstrated by the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented mindset, with a proven commitment to operational excellence.
  • Relevant experience supporting organizations within highly regulated industries such as government, financial services, or healthcare., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Okta Professional Certification is highly desired.
  • Experience with REST APIs and automating Okta tasks using PowerShell and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation frameworks is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools is an advantage.
  • Experience working with enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, such as ServiceNow, is preferred.
