Senior Java Microservices Development Engineer (Kafka)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Microservices Development Engineer to join our US-based engineering team. This role is ideal for an accomplished software engineer with deep expertise in Java, Microservices, and distributed systems who enjoys designing and building scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications., The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures, possess strong technical leadership capabilities, and thrive in a collaborative Agile environment. You will work closely with architects, product managers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and global stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions for enterprise customers., * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Microservices architecture.

• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs.
• Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Develop cloud-native applications following modern engineering best practices.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical strategy and solution design.
• Review code, establish development standards, and promote engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

• 10-15 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java (Java 8/11/17+).
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices architecture.
• Proven experience developing enterprise-scale distributed applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in RESTful API development.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and clean architecture.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently within distributed global teams.
