Job description

Goldman Edwards is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain modern cloud-hosted and cloud-native applications supporting mission-critical federal technology initiatives.

This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end software solutions across the front-end, middleware, back-end, API, and cloud infrastructure layers while ensuring adherence to architecture standards, security requirements, and software engineering best practices.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise, cloud-native application development experience, and a passion for leveraging modern technologies-including AI-enabled development tools-to accelerate software development, testing, and deployment.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain end-to-end cloud-hosted and cloud-native applications.
  • Build and support front-end, middleware, back-end, API, and cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including architecture, development, testing, code reviews, deployment, and production support.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software using modern engineering best practices.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Maintain source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Utilize AI-enabled development tools to improve software engineering productivity and testing efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement continuous improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation while contributing to engineering standards and best practices., * Candidates selected for certain projects may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • 10+ years of software engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development experience.
  • Strong experience with one or more of the following technologies:
  • Angular
  • React
  • Python
  • Node.js
  • Rust
  • Experience designing, developing, and securing RESTful APIs and API integrations.
  • Practical experience implementing application design patterns and modern architecture frameworks, including microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with cloud-native application development and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform (preferred), Microsoft Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
  • Experience using GitHub, Jira, Confluence, JFrog, and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software development and testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills., * Experience supporting federal government technology programs.
  • Experience working within a government contracting environment.
  • Experience with serverless application architecture.
  • Familiarity with coding standards such as Google JavaScript Style Guide and PEP 8.
  • An active U.S. Government security clearance is a plus.
