Job description

Our mid-West Dallas area client company is searching for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, build, and maintain automated test suites, frameworks, tools, and automation infrastructure for iOS, Android, and web applications.

The successful candidate will: help identify regressions early, sustain release velocity, and improve quality in close partnership with development and product teams; write clear, repeatable test cases and document defects with detailed steps and evidence; create and maintain automation frameworks and reusable test utilities; build and run automated UI, functional, and regression tests across real devices, emulators/simulators, and web browsers; integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable quality feedback; improve test reliability and support performance, stability, and compatibility testing across device matrices; triage failures, identify root causes, and work with engineering to resolve issues; and partner with developers to define test strategy, acceptance criteria, and coverage goals.

Requirements

To be considered, candidates MUST have strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills, and further, have: 3+ years of SDET experience focused on mobile test automation; hands-on experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest; experience using Playwright or a comparable browser automation tool for web testing; be familiar with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control; a strong understanding of QA methodologies, the test pyramid, and the software development lifecycle; working knowledge of API testing and related tools, such as Postman or REST clients; experience using SQL for data validation and analysis; experience testing Flutter applications, including flutter test and integration testing, plus exposure to API or contract testing; experience with functional, integration, and regression testing for AWS cloud-based applications, including APIs, microservices, and environment configurations; demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex, to improve productivity and test case quality; and be proficient in at least one programming , such as Python, Java, Dart, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
