Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to support the continued development of internal applications, reporting platforms, and analytical tooling used across our energy trading business. The role combines software development, data engineering, and business-facing problem solving. You will work closely with traders, analysts, operations, and finance teams to build solutions that improve visibility, automation, and decision making across the organisation. • Build reporting and data solutions to support commercial and operational teams
• Work with databases, APIs, and structured market/trading datasets
• Support development using C#, .NET, Python, and SQL
• Assist with cloud-based infrastructure and application deployment
• Improve automation and operational workflows
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Participate in system enhancements, testing, and ongoing support

This is a hybrid role, and the ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant professional experience., * Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related technical field

• Experience with C#, .NET, Python, and SQL
• Understanding of data structures, databases, and analytical workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in cloud technologies and modern software development practices
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
• Experience with reporting tools, APIs, or cloud platforms is advantageous
• Exposure to commodity trading or financial systems is beneficial but not essential
