Job description

We are looking for a Software Engineer to support the continued development of internal applications, reporting platforms, and analytical tooling used across our energy trading business. The role combines software development, data engineering, and business-facing problem solving. You will work closely with traders, analysts, operations, and finance teams to build solutions that improve visibility, automation, and decision making across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially curious candidate who enjoys working closely with end users and delivering practical solutions in a fast-paced environment., * Develop and maintain internal business applications and analytical tools

  • Build reporting and data solutions to support commercial and operational teams
  • Work with databases, APIs, and structured market/trading datasets
  • Support development using C#, .NET, Python, and SQL
  • Assist with cloud-based infrastructure and application deployment
  • Improve automation and operational workflows
  • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Participate in system enhancements, testing, and ongoing support

Requirements

This is a hybrid role, and the ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant professional experience., * Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related technical field

  • Experience with C#, .NET, Python, and SQL
  • Understanding of data structures, databases, and analytical workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in cloud technologies and modern software development practices
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
  • Experience with reporting tools, APIs, or cloud platforms is advantageous
  • Exposure to commodity trading or financial systems is beneficial but not essential
