IT Security Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced information security professional to play a key role in protecting our organisation’s information assets, supporting security governance, and driving continuous improvement across our cyber security and information security practices. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure security controls remain effective, compliance requirements are met, and cyber risks are managed appropriately., * Support and maintain the organisation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).

• Assist in ensuring compliance with recognised information security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001.
• Manage and monitor cyber security tools to identify, investigate, and respond to security threats.
• Lead vulnerability management activities, including vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Safeguard sensitive and confidential information by promoting and maintaining appropriate security controls.
• Support information security governance activities, policies, standards, and operational processes.
• Assist with incident response activities, including investigation, containment, recovery, and lessons learned.
• Support internal and external information security audits and ensure audit actions are completed.
• Manage and deliver information security projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Produce security metrics, reports, and recommendations for management.
• Work collaboratively with IT teams and business stakeholders to embed security best practices across the organisation.

• Experience working in an IT Security, Information Security, or Cyber Security role.
• Good knowledge of information security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001.
• Experience managing cyber security technologies and security monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management processes and remediation practices.
• Understanding of information security governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience supporting security audits and compliance activities. Experience participating in or leading information security projects.
• An understanding of incident response processes and security operations., * A strong communicator with the ability to explain security and privacy concepts in simple, non-technical terms.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work independently when required.
• Proactive, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement.
• A collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Professional, trustworthy, and able to handle highly confidential information with integrity.
• Passionate about staying up to date with emerging cyber security threats, technologies, and best practices. Desirable
• Professional certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or similar.
• Experience working within regulated environments.
• Knowledge of security risk assessments and data protection principles.

Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a IT Security Analyst on a 12 month contract (could be extended) on behalf of a well established IT Security company based in Hebden Bridge. This role is a 12 month contract initially however could be extended, it also offers hybrid working.
