Job description

The Customs Data and System Analyst supports trade compliance and financial data processes through reporting, analytics, and cross-functional coordination. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate customs and financial data, developing dashboards, and providing analytical and data management support to Accounting, Finance, Controlling, and SAP teams.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and validate customs and financial data within SAP and related systems
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, and Controlling teams to ensure accuracy of duty-related financial data in SAP, including reporting, reconciliation, and cost allocation
  • Support duty drawback initiatives by maintaining and validating import/export data, ensuring system readiness and data integrity for drawback claims
  • Oversee SAP data maintenance and governance efforts related to trade compliance ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of trade compliance data across systems
  • Investigate data discrepancies and partner with internal stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain reports to track trade compliance metrics, duty spend, and financial impacts
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within trade and finance processes

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of trade compliance experience
  • Experience with SAP or SAP 4Hana
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and data management skills
  • Knowledge of HTS classification

Working Conditions and Environment:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Professional office etiquette is required at all times
  • Travel required 5-10%
  • Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, speaking, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 20 pounds
