Job description

TechTrans International provides language services and travel logistics, language teaching, interpreting, translating, travel coordination and much more. We have international offices, staff, and clients calling us from around the world. We are seeking a Full-Time Corporate Cybersecurity Operations Analyst for our Clear Lake office. The successful candidate is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats while implementing, maintaining, and providing evidence of technical security controls. Duties and Skills include:

  • Continuously monitor networks and systems for suspicious activity and potential security breaches, often using tools like SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).
  • Examine security logs, network traffic, and other data sources to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Investigate security alerts, responding to incidents, and escalating issues to higher-level security personnel when necessary.
  • Assist in the implementation of security controls like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
  • Identify weaknesses in systems and networks and assisting with patching and remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Preparing reports on security incidents, vulnerability assessments, and overall security performance.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures.
  • Familiarity with common operating systems like Windows and Linux.
  • Knowledge of security tools like SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Understanding common cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Incident response implementation?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 3 years of experience in a Cyber Security role or 2 years in Cyber Security Operations

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity related field OR 3 years of related field experience in Information Technology
  • Current certifications in CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
  • Basic understanding of incident response procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve security issues.
