Job description

The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, backend data services, APIs, database solutions, and modern cloud-based data infrastructure., * Build, orchestrate, and maintain automated ETL/ELT data pipelines using C#/.NET Core and cloud-based tools such as Azure Data Factory.

Develop high-performance data ingestion tools, integration components, and RESTful APIs using the .NET framework.
Design, implement, and optimize relational database schemas and data warehouse solutions using SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Refactor and modernize legacy data frameworks and storage layers, migrating older .NET infrastructure toward modern cloud-native architecture.
Implement data validation, cleansing, automated testing, error handling, and data integrity checks within data processing workflows.
Establish and support automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Git, and related DevOps tools.
Collaborate with full-stack developers, data analysts, and product teams to provide analytical datasets and support enterprise reporting requirements.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced .NET Engineer with strong Data Engineering expertise to support a client engagement in Chicago. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience with .NET/C#, Snowflake, Python, Airflow, SQL, and cloud-based data engineering solutions., * Strong hands-on expertise in C#, .NET Core/.NET 10+, and SQL.

Strong Data Engineering experience with Snowflake, Python, and Airflow.
Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
Hands-on cloud experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, and/or Azure Data Factory.
Strong understanding of data modeling, Star Schema, dimensional modeling, and database indexing strategies.
Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Proficiency with Git/version control, CI/CD, and Docker/containerization.
Experience modernizing legacy .NET/data applications into scalable, cloud-native solutions.
