Job description
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Design and execute complex ETL and ELT processes.
- Develop in Foundry, including ontologies, pipelines, and operational applications.
- Locate and extract relevant data from Vantage, transform data, and build new custom datasets.
- Build complex information exchanges with external Power Apps applications.
- Identify and create branch fix recommendations for datasets.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Requirements
This organization is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to support Army data and analytics efforts. This role will focus on designing, building, and deploying advanced data systems that leverage data integration and analytics. The ability to be adaptable and work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is important. Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance., Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Education: A college degree (B.S. or M.S.) in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline is required. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: A minimum of 16 years of professional experience is required.
Technical Skills:
- Subject Matter Expertise with Palantir Foundry and the Army Vantage data analytics platform.
- Extensive experience with Palantir Foundry Ontology, Contour, Workshop, Slate, and code repository.
- Expertise in database storage, SQL queries, and primary/foreign keys.
- Development experience with Python, PySpark, Java, and SQL.
- Experience with Snapshot, Changelog, and Code Repository IDE.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ADVANA or Palantir MAVEN.
- Experience developing in an Army 365 (A365) environment.
- Understanding of Army data systems (e.g., personnel data, readiness reporting).
- Familiarity with the Azure Data/AI stack (Azure Databricks, Synapse, or Data Factory).
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform suite.
- Experience developing with Databricks.
