Job description

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients across various age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and behavioral health interventions.
  • Provide medication management and monitor patient responses, adjusting prescriptions as necessary within DEA regulations.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including intake procedures and consultation-liaison psychiatry services.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA and health regulation policies.
  • Participate in clinical case discussions, data collection, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and bilingual Nurse Practitioner (NP) Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy, with the ability to serve both adult and pediatric populations. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering evidence-based psychiatric care through in-person and telehealth modalities., * Valid license as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in Psychiatry or Mental Health Nursing.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, and adult populations in outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Knowledge of hospital procedures, inpatient psychiatry, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Proficiency in psychopharmacology, diagnostic evaluation, and mental health counseling practices.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
  • Post-residency experience in clinical psychiatry or behavioral health is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of addiction medicine, PTSD care, developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and working with special populations is advantageous.
