Controller - Architecture Firm | Ajera Required

• Lead all Accounting and Finance Operations
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Manage General Ledger and Journal Entries
• Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Statements
• Perform Month-End Close and Year-End Close
• Develop Budgets, Forecasts, and Variance Analysis
• Maintain Cash Flow Management
• Process and oversee Payroll
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Federal, State, and Local regulations
• Coordinate Internal and External Audits
• Monitor Revenue Recognition
• Perform Job Costing and Project Cost Analysis
• Support Project Managers with Client Billing and Project Financial Reporting
• Improve Internal Controls and Accounting Processes
• Analyze Financial Performance and recommend improvements

We are seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in Architectural Accounting to lead all accounting and financial operations for our growing Manhattan office. This position is ideal for someone who has worked within an Architecture, Engineering (A/E), Interior Design, or Professional Services Firm and has hands-on experience with Ajera ERP.

• CPA Preferred
• 5+ years of Controller or Senior Accounting experience
• Architecture, Engineering (A/E), Interior Design, or Design Industry experience
• Hands-on experience with Ajera ERP (Required)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience preparing Financial Statements
• Experience managing AP, AR, Payroll, General Ledger, and Month-End Close
• Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Public Accounting background
• Multi-project accounting experience
• Cost Accounting experience
• Revenue Recognition experience
• Audit management experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, * Do you have at least 5 years of accounting or Controller experience within an Architecture, Engineering (A/E), or Interior Design firm?
• Do you have hands-on experience using Ajera ERP software?
• Are you legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship?
