Job description

Our Manager, Governance & Oversight, MC supports the Director of Operations in the administration and oversight of contractual obligations, governance activities, reporting requirements, and fleet in-processing operations. This role provides leadership to staff performing in-processing functions, serves as a primary liaison with Southern Nuclear Company (SNC) access authorization personnel, and drives operational performance tracking, meeting coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives across the fleet. As the Manager, Governance & Oversight, MC, here’s the work you’ll do:

  • Support the Director of Operations in administering contractual obligations and ensuring alignment with SNC requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with contract terms, identify risks, and drive corrective actions to maintain operational integrity.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of fleet in-processing activities across multiple sites.
  • Direct, mentor, and develop assigned staff to ensure efficient, compliant, and consistent onboarding and access processes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with SNC Corporate Access Authorization and site-level counterparts.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and alignment on access and compliance activities.
  • Develop, analyze, and distribute internal and contractual performance reports.
  • Track key performance metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership and customers.
  • Compile and maintain D&Z value-added opportunities and accomplishments, communicating business impact and contributions.
  • Organize, schedule, and facilitate planning team and steering team meetings required under contractual agreements.
  • Ensure meeting agendas, documentation, action items, and follow-up activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Support operational leadership in compiling, tracking, and driving closure of outage lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of governance, compliance, and contract administration processes.
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating complex operational programs in the power generation industry.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability across organizations.
  • Strong project management and project controls experience.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities while maintaining attention to operational details.
  • Financial and business acumen with the ability to understand cost, revenue, and performance drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term customer and business relationships., * Associate’s Degree in a relevant field, completion of a journeyman program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant operations and power industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated background in maintenance and/or construction management within the power industry.
  • Experience with both project execution and operations & maintenance (O&M) scopes of work.
  • Experience working with union craft leadership where applicable required.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred., * Ability to read and write complex documents in the English language
  • Capacity to express thoughts effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Capacity to reason and make sound decisions
  • Ability to regularly perform all job functions at company offices and customer worksites
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Ability to withstand environmental conditions including heat, cold, noise, fumes, and other industrial site conditions as applicable
