Job description

We are seeking an experienced SDET III / Senior Quality Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on automation engineer with strong experience in UI, API, backend, and database testing. This role involves designing automation frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting complex issues, mentoring junior engineers, and driving quality across the SDLC., * Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and reusable components.

  • Create and execute automated tests across UI, API, backend, and database layers.
  • Develop automation using Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins or similar CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor pipeline executions and investigate automation or application failures.
  • Perform REST API testing using Postman, REST Assured, SuperTest, or similar tools.
  • Validate backend data using SQL queries.
  • Utilize Docker for containerized testing environments.
  • Execute regression, integration, system, exploratory, performance, and release validation testing.
  • Perform basic security testing aligned with OWASP Top 10 principles.
  • Troubleshoot flaky tests and improve automation reliability.
  • Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts throughout Agile sprints.
  • Mentor junior Quality Engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
  • Report quality metrics, defects, release risks, and testing progress.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Software Quality Engineering / SDET experience.
  • Strong automation experience using Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with WebdriverIO, Selenium, or Cypress.
  • CI/CD integration experience using Jenkins or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker.
  • REST API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, SuperTest, or similar.
  • Strong SQL knowledge for backend validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience testing UI, APIs, backend services, and databases.
  • Knowledge of performance testing concepts.
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and security testing practices.
  • Experience with regression, integration, system, exploratory, and release testing.
  • Experience using Git/GitHub and pull request workflows.
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
