Job description

We are recruiting an IT and Cyber Risk Management Advisor to join our client’s team in Brussels on a contract basis within the banking sector. You will play a pivotal role in their Governance, Risk and Compliance function, helping IT and business stakeholders identify, assess and reduce IT and cyber risks across applications, projects, agile constructs and third parties. You will be at the heart of defining and implementing strategies that align with group IT and cyber policies, influencing the overall risk posture of our client.

Requirements

IT & Cyber Risk Management: Supporting and monitoring risk owners, performing quality assurance from creation to closure, and advising on risk treatment.
Shadow IT Risk Assessment: Assessing and managing risks related to applications outside formal IT governance.
ISMS & IT Risk Process Integration: Demonstrated experience linking different information security management systems and IT risk processes.
Control Frameworks & Audit Methodologies: Strong knowledge of control frameworks and audit practices to evaluate and improve risk controls.
Cloud Security Experience: Significant experience with cloud services (SaaS, HSP, AWS), understanding associated risks and controls.
Secure Software Development: Knowledge of development security best practices and their application in real projects.
IT Operations Processes: Experience in release, change, incident management and testing to ensure secure and controlled delivery.
Stakeholder Communication: Excellent English writing and interpersonal skills to report risks and influence management decisions.
Analytical and Structured Thinking: Ability to produce precise, concise, and methodical documentation.
Autonomy and Proactivity: Self-starting, results-oriented, accurate yet flexible, with strong personal organisation.
