Job description

A well-established organisation is seeking a Finance System Implementation Lead to join the team on an initial 9-month contract. Offering hybrid working, this is an exciting opportunity to lead the implementation of a new finance system that will underpin the organisation’s future growth and strengthen financial processes across multiple departments., * Leading the end-to-end implementation of a new finance system, taking ownership from project planning through to go-live and post-implementation support.

  • Developing and managing detailed project plans, timelines, risk registers and governance documentation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Working closely with finance and operational teams to understand business requirements and translate these into effective system solutions.
  • Coordinating multiple internal stakeholders and third-party implementation partners throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Overseeing data migration, system configuration, testing and user acceptance activities to ensure the new solution meets business requirements.
  • Ensuring the finance system supports financial reporting, budgeting, project and grant management, billing processes and wider organisational needs.
  • Leading change management activities, including user training, communications and the successful adoption of new processes.
  • Providing regular progress updates to senior leadership, proactively managing project risks and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and maximise the long-term benefits of the new system.

Requirements

Are you an experienced professional with a proven track record of leading finance system implementations? Do you enjoy working across multiple business functions to deliver lasting organisational change? Are you looking for an opportunity where you can lead a high-profile transformation programme from inception through to delivery?, * A proven track record of successfully leading finance system implementations from inception through to delivery.

  • Strong knowledge of finance processes, including financial reporting, budgeting and transactional finance.
  • Experience delivering complex transformation projects involving multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders and external suppliers.
  • Strong project governance experience, including planning, risk management and project reporting.
  • Experience within the charity, healthcare, care or another regulated environment would be highly advantageous.
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results.
