Fredrikson is seeking a Workday HRIS Product Owner to join our Human Resources Operations team. This strategic role serves as the owner of the firmās Workday platform, providing leadership across the full product lifecycle while ensuring the system continues to evolve alongside the firmās business needs.
As the Product Owner, you will define the Workday roadmap, lead platform governance, oversee system configuration, and drive continuous improvement across Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Talent, and other business functions. Working closely with leaders across the firm, you will translate business needs into scalable technology solutions that improve processes, strengthen data integrity, and enhance the employee experience.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic product ownership with hands-on Workday expertise while influencing how technology supports the future of the firm.
Location & In-Office Work Environment: This position requires regular in-office collaboration and is not eligible for fully remote work. Candidates must reside in, or independently relocate to Minneapolis, MN.

Applications that do not include this acknowledgment may not be considered., *Serve as the Product Owner for the firmās Workday platform, establishing and maintaining a strategic roadmap aligned with organizational priorities. *Configure, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and optimize Workday functionality across multiple modules. *Lead platform governance, security, reporting, integrations, business processes, and system enhancements. *Partner with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Technology, Legal Operations, and firm leadership to identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement. *Evaluate business needs and design scalable Workday solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience. *Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytics that provide meaningful workforce insights. *Lead Workday release planning, testing, deployment, and change management activities. *Oversee platform security, governance, auditing practices, and data integrity. *Manage relationships with Workday, implementation partners, consultants, and third-party vendors. *Create documentation, training resources, and communication plans that support successful user adoption. *Own HR process mapping and identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate business processes. *Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new functionality and recommending enhancements that maximize the firmās investment in Workday.
Requirements
*Seven or more years of progressive HRIS and Workday experience, including advanced system administration, configuration, governance, and enterprise solution design. *Three or more years serving as a Workday Product Owner, platform owner, lead administrator, or primary functional lead. *Demonstrated experience owning the strategic direction, roadmap, governance, and ongoing optimization of a Workday environment. *Advanced knowledge of Workday HCM, business processes, security, reporting, integrations, configuration, and related modules. *Experience leading Workday implementations, major enhancements, release management, testing, and organizational change initiatives. *Strong project and product management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. *Experience partnering with executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions and drive business outcomes. *Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills. *Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. *Demonstrated ability to work independently while leading strategic initiatives across multiple business functions., *Bachelorās degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. *Workday Pro certification or advanced Workday certifications in HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Learning, Recruiting, Security, or Reporting. *Experience leading Workday implementations and post-deployment optimization efforts. *Deep knowledge of EIBs, calculated fields, business process frameworks, integrations, and data management. *Experience developing enterprise governance models and technology roadmaps. *Knowledge of HR operations, payroll processes, and compliance requirements. *Experience within a law firm, professional services organization, consulting environment, or similarly complex organization.

The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting annual pay range is $120,000-$145,000. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidateās experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
