Job description

Due to recent contract wins and supporting continued growth, Stirling Dynamics GmbH are looking for a talented and experienced Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be a Design Engineer for Aircraft Cabin and other Modifications, they will be part of the DOA team serving many airlines worldwide. Within our EASA 21J Design Organisation the successful candidate will be working as a Design Engineer on the design and certification documentation for CS23, CS25, CS27 aircraft/rotorcraft modifications. This role requires a good knowledge of Cabin related certification, however, as we have several open positions, there are also opportunities for engineers with less experience to join our creative and dynamic team. This role will be based in our Hamburg office with occasional travel to our clients’ sites as required however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work remotely for part of their week. Responsibilities:

  • Layout of aircraft cabins
  • Design of aircraft cabin modifications
  • Creation of compliance documentation
  • Preparation of certification documentation
  • Creation of service bulletin / technical order content
  • Creation of procedures and forms related to EASA Part 21J
  • Creation of supplements and other certification documentation
  • Design, modification qualification, and integration of cabin parts
  • Communication with customers, the Office of Airworthiness and Compliance Verification Engineers

Requirements

  • Aerospace degree or equivalent
  • Completed Safety Management System training in relation to aviation activities (design, production or maintenance)

Essential skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Part 21
  • English language (professional level), German (fluent)
  • MS-Office, Solid Works or similar

Experience:

  • Tech doc creation/proof reading experience
  • DOA experience
  • Cabin Mod experience
  • Airworthiness experience
