Data Governance Consultant

Supporting the identification, onboarding and enablement of Data Owner and Data Steward roles.Facilitating conceptual data model workshops with business and technical stakeholders.Embedding data ownership principles across the data lifecycle to improve accountability and decision-making.Supporting the development of a Data Governance Knowledge Hub, providing a central source of governance guidance, standards and best practice.Strengthening collaboration between central data management functions and business teams to encourage consistent governance across the organisation.Contributing to the continuous improvement of the organisation’s Data Ownership Model and wider governance framework.Supporting change and adoption activities to ensure new governance practices are successfully embedded.

You’ll ideally have: Proven experience delivering Data Governance frameworks or Data Ownership/Data Stewardship models.A strong understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle.Experience translating governance policies into operational processes.The ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.Experience supporting organisational change and driving adoption of new governance practices.Previous Data Governance experience within a UK Central Government department.
