Job description

We’re looking for an Aerospace Application Engineer to help leading aerospace manufacturers unlock the potential of metal additive manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of advanced manufacturing, partnering with customers to develop innovative solutions for structural components, engine parts, flight hardware, and next-generation aerospace applications.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a trusted technical advisor, you’ll work closely with aerospace customers, helping them identify opportunities where additive manufacturing can deliver real engineering and commercial value.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working directly with customers to understand technical challenges and define additive manufacturing solutions.
  • Supporting the commercial team by developing technical proposals and application recommendations.
  • Visiting customer sites to assess manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Developing concepts, CAD models, and Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) solutions.
  • Collaborating with engineering, production, and commercial teams to deliver prototypes, quotations, and production-ready solutions.
  • Demonstrating software tools and validating applications with customers.
  • Building expertise in aerospace qualification, certification, and production adoption of metal additive manufacturing.
  • Delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training for customers and internal teams.
  • Representing the business at aerospace conferences, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Creating and maintaining technical application guides, best practices, and case studies to support future customer projects.

Requirements

Are you passionate about solving complex engineering challenges and driving the adoption of cutting-edge manufacturing technologies?, You’ll be an engineer who enjoys solving real-world manufacturing problems while building strong relationships with customers., * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.

  • 3-5 years’ experience within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and certification requirements such as AS9100, FAA, EASA, material traceability, or similar quality systems.
  • Experience using CAD software such as Siemens NX or equivalent.
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes and product development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive, consultative approach and the confidence to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.

Desirable Experience

  • Metal additive manufacturing (3D printing) experience.
  • Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM).
  • Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) or Direct Energy Deposition (DED) technologies.
  • Experience introducing new manufacturing technologies into production environments.
