Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled GCP Cloud Architect to join our team remotely. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your expertise will drive innovative cloud architecture strategies that align with business goals, ensuring robust cloud infrastructure and seamless migration projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about cloud computing, solution architecture, and cutting-edge technology to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment., * Design and develop comprehensive cloud architecture solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage (S3 equivalent), Kubernetes, and PaaS offerings.

  • Lead cloud infrastructure implementation initiatives including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Virtualization, and containerization systems like Docker and Kubernetes to ensure scalable systems.
  • Develop and automate deployment processes utilizing tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and DevOps automation practices to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement cloud migration projects with a focus on minimizing downtime while ensuring security standards such as FedRAMP compliance and cloud security best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect microservices-based applications using RESTful APIs, web services, and SaaS solutions.
  • Manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions to secure cloud environments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical leadership in designing distributed systems, implementing scalable architectures, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with strong knowledge of its core services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
  • Extensive background in solution architecture involving Service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS models across public clouds such as AWS or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, OpenStack, Rackspace, Citrix, and related cloud infrastructure tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement cloud security protocols adhering to standards such as FedRAMP; experience with VPNs, Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), and network security configurations.
  • Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell; familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef or Puppet is preferred.
  • Background in software development including JavaScript, Java, Ruby on Rails or Python; experience with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
  • Knowledge of containerization systems such as Docker and Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications within a DevOps environment utilizing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL Server; experience working with NoSQL databases is advantageous.
  • Understanding of operating systems including Linux and Windows; experience managing system design for high availability and scalability in distributed environments.
