Job description
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing the infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. He/She works closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to oversee code releases and deployments, streamline operations, and implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). The DevOps Engineer has a strong background in software engineering, system administration, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices., * Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development process
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable software releases
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize system reliability and scalability
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Ensure security best practices are followed and integrated into the DevOps processes
- Conduct root cause analysis for production errors and implement preventive measures
- Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure optimal resource utilization
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and deployment processes
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)
- Proficiency with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Relevant certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, etc.) preferred
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools
