SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience administering, troubleshooting, and connecting Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems to the Control System Platform Enclave (CSPE), Navy Utilities Monitoring & Control System (N-UMCS), and Smart Grid; 2) Systems administration, network administration, and cybersecurity experience supporting IT and OT components of systems that include: Direct Digital Control (DDC), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), electricity generation/distribution, water treatment/distribution, and waste water treatment/distribution. 3) Experience with the Advanced Metering Infrastructure program.

You must have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Interpreting laws, regulations and policies.

2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Consulting with customers to identify and specify requirements.

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Presenting fact-based findings and recommendations for new ideas and concepts.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
