Job description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mission Support Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to serve as the Autonomous Technology and Intelligence program synchronizer responsible for the external communications, policy, intelligence support, safety, compliance, and project coordination in support of global Diplomatic Security unmanned and counter-unmanned aircraft systems (UAS/C-UAS) activities. Additionally, you will supervise schedules, meetings, policy compliance, documentation standardization, internal workflows, intelligence-based risk assessment, and program compliance with federal and department of state guidelines.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage communications, policy and program analysts, and intelligence teams.
  • Guide interagency correspondence, agreements, and engagements through the DS staffing process
  • Prepares senior leaders for Congressional and NSC meetings on UAS/C-UAS topics
  • Perform document generation, review and edit all formal program documentation.
  • Supervise and guide risk assessments of Department of State Embassies, and Consulates
  • Supervise the request for information process and timeline for internal and external inquiries
  • Leads the shaping and underpinning of DS policy for UAS/C-UAS efforts
  • Guides DS policy ensuring alignment with Federal regulations and legislation
  • Informs Senior leaders on federal legislative updates that affect UAS/C-UAS activities
  • Flags regulations and interagency initiatives that may impact DS capabilities and authorities
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with clients and client representatives
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures when performing job duties
  • Conduct annual staff appraisals and assessments to determine staff training needs
  • Establish and ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures
  • Liaise with other departmental heads to plan and implement action plans for improved technical operations

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science Degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experienced program/project management leader with military aviation operations exposure, federal headquarters-level credibility, and strong interagency and stakeholder communication skills
  • Candidate must have 12+ years’ experience in personnel management including the ability to manage diverse, multi-functional teams responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions on time and within budget.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with UAS or C-UAS, radar systems, RF analytics, sensor fusion, and managing intelligence personnel.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (required)
  • PMP Certification (required)
  • Secret clearance required

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work within a team and take the initiative to lead when required
  • Detail focused with the ability to maintain overall perspective on operational and mission scope
  • Proactive problem solver. Expected to present solutions to identified and / or potential problems
  • Experience with air domain awareness systems and policies.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Full-time, 40-hour workweek with flexibility for mission requirements.
  • Travel: Candidates should be willing to travel / TDY away from their home location for up to 30% of a typical work year, potentially to international diplomatic facilities and high-threat environments. Typical deployments are expected to be 7-30 days; however, candidates should be willing to support deployments up to 90 days in special circumstances
  • Physical requirements can include walking, climbing, crawling through small spaces, and standing or sitting for long periods of time.
  • Must meet most stringent medical clearance requirements. Position requires adherence to approved vaccination protocols as determined by location.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
