Job description

GSCE’s Product & Analytics team is building the next generation of operational excellence products for Amazon’s worldwide supply chain - a product portfolio spanning benchmarking, standards, audit, and process improvement.

We are looking for a UX Designer to help design a single, intuitive product experience across the GSCE portfolio. You will be the design owner for products such as the Scorecard Hub, Project Autonomy self-service data tooling, CIP (our continuous-improvement execution platform), Gravion (our AI-powered audit platform and risk engine), and Project Flywheel - the unified GSCE product experience that connects insights, standards, and actions into one seamless operator workflow. Your customers are Operations leaders across NA, EU, APAC, LATAM, and MENA who rely on our products to achieve operational excellence.

In this role you will turn difficult, data-dense operational problems into clear, usable, and delightful experiences. You will partner closely with UX Researcher, Product Managers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Software Engineers, and Applied Scientists to define product-level customer experience, shape roadmaps, and raise the design bar for a team scaling its products across business units and geographies. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a designer who is tactical today and growing strategic, and who wants to see their work directly improve how a global operations network performs.

Key job responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end UX solutions for difficult design problems across GSCE products (Scorecard Hub, Project Autonomy, CIP, Gravion, Project Flywheel), working independently and seeking direction when needed.
  • Own the customer experience for one or more product surfaces, consistently shipping high-quality artifacts from concept to detailed engineering specs.
  • Apply design best practices and expertise in at least one core UX discipline, method, or process.
  • Partner closely with UX Researcher, Product, BIE, Applied Science, and Engineering, balancing design needs against technical capabilities and constraints.
  • Present and critique in cross-team reviews; communicate difficult technical and product decisions clearly to partners.
  • Influence partners, your manager, and the team’s design strategy; present multiple solutions with clear trade-offs.
  • Advocate for the customer and challenge the status quo on their behalf.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions at the feature and product level.
  • Apply industry landscape and trends to inform recommendations on team goals and design direction.
  • Drive crisp, timely decisions, clear blockers, escalate appropriately, and plan for dependencies so outcomes are maintainable.
  • Improve design patterns, standards, methods, and processes, contributing to cross-team mechanisms that improve delivery.
  • Proactively identify optimizations by understanding the underlying systems your designs run on.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of design experience
  • Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
  • Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer, * Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
  • Experience prototyping (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash or Flash Catalyst, or Axure)
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
