• Evaluate program and project requirements, develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
• Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design, usability, and rate estimates.
• Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.
• Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality, safety, and repeatability.
• Develop and implement workarounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation.
• Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.

• Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET is a preferred, although not required, accreditation standard) and 5 or more years related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master’s degree + 3 years work experience), * 3 or more years of project management experience supporting complex technical projects, evaluating/selecting equipment solutions, and assessing spare parts inventory in a production environment
• 2 or more years of experience working with hardware, software, and documentation configuration management
• 3 or more years of experience working to industry standards including compliance with hardware and safety codes
• Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques
